Elena's Story

Hi my name is Elena. I am 51 years old and want to thank you for letting me do this. I am a hairstylist and was working and I had this horrible headache from the back of my head to the front. I went home that day, and the headache doesn’t go away I was like that for 3 days. I went to see my doctor she said I have a tension headache and gave Tylenol. Ok i was on Tylenol but the headache never goes away.

3 days after i went to the doctor i planned to go to Mexico to see my mom. I get there Thursday afternoon, the next day when I woke up my right eye was paralyzed and I was seeing double. It was a terrible feeling and my sister took me to the doctor. The doctor said it was a virus and he prescribe something. The next day was bad i was seeing badly i was so dizzy she took me to for a ct scan. Nothing showed.

By Monday I toll her i better go back to USA that I didn’t feel good. I came back Monday and Tuesday i went to see the doctor. She saw my eye and she sent me to the ophthalmologist. By Friday i was whit the ophthalmologist. He saw me and said there is nothing he could do for me. You have to go to the ER. Went to the Er they did an MRI and found i have 2 aneurysms and one was bleeding. Rushed me by ambulance to next town because the neurosurgeon was there.

He checks me and I had surgery the next day. He performed coiling surgery. Was ok but when he came to see me in the ICU he told me i had another little one on the other side. Ok i was in the hospital for 5 days nothing affected my body just my eye. The therapist came to see me and they told me you ok you don’t need therapy.

Ok the surgery was March 20 2010 and I am home. I feel fine no headache any more, my eye went better in a month so right now I am just waiting. In July they going to check on my other aneurysm they going to do an angiogram let see how it is. Only I am afraid that one is going to bleed on me. I am afraid to drive and i have a little depression.

Sorry for my English is not too great but i hope you understand, sometimes I am concert about coiling doesn’t rebleed? But the good part I am an aneurysm survivor i am very lucky doctor told me i wait a long time to get help all those days bleeding and airplane and still make it wow.

Well if somebody wants to write me my email is Click Here

Thank you and God bless all bye…

Elena
